Making a giant Spider web

We ended our whole spider unit by making a giant spider web in my back yard.  I gave each child a ball of white yarn and told them to go at it.  I have a deck and a lot of trees in my yard, so there was a lot of things to wind through.  This was so much fun!  They loved ducking and dodging the spider web to make their pattern, but most of all they loved getting stuck in the spider web.

When we were all done creating, we played some games trying to get through our web with out getting caught, and played a spider version of tag.  This web is still up in my back yard because my own kids have loved it so much.
