At our art center I put out some stamp pads (and some paint on sponges - that makes great stamp pads), and some sharpies (kids LOVE using sharpies instead of washable markers).
I also put out an "example" - sometimes I do this, sometimes I don't. I decided to do today so they could get some ideas and see HOW they could make finger prints into bugs.
They turned out GREAT!
