Hey Diddle Diddle - "and" and "the"

During Music week we we learned the rhyme "Hey Diddle Diddle"  because... of course... the cat has a fiddle!  I have mentioned it before - but a great way to extend learning in a nursery rhyme is learning the words "and" and "the".  After going over it once as a large group I left it like this during center time, and let the kids come over and fill in the blanks as they desired.

We had some great reading, and pre-reading skills going on!
